Are you like an AirBnB?

Nope! We are a traditional bed and breakfast. That means you get a cozy room with a private bathroom and all the amenities you might expect from a small hotel. We also include a hot chef’s choice breakfast each morning for our guests.

How far are you from Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor?

We are just 8 minutes up the road from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center of Acadia. That is also the start of the Park Loop Road. Downtown is a 10 minute drive from the Inn. What’s nice about our area, Salisbury Cove, is that during the high season there are quite a few lunch and dinner options near us without having to venture downtown. For example, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound is a 1 minute drive up the road!

Do you allow dogs?

For the 2026 season we are not allowing dogs on the property. Starting in 2027 we will be offering dog packages for our three rooms with exterior entrances, Heritage, Blue Hill Bay, and Somes Sound. Check back later for all the details!

Do you allow private events?

As we are a small inn we do not offer events for the public. If you are interested in booking the entire Inn for an event such as a family reunion, microwedding or corporate retreat please reach out and we will be happy to work with you.

When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4pm on your arrival day. We try to get the rooms ready before then, but we will send a text to the number on the reservation with your room updates. Check-out is 11am. If you would like a guaranteed early check-in or late check-out please email us at info@coachstopinn.com.

Do you allow children?

Yes, children are welcome at Coach Stop, with some caveats. We only have two rooms with occupancy for three people. Children (including babies and toddlers), count towards that number.

Your address is a State Highway, is there a lot of road noise?

While we are on the main road on and off the island, it is not a multi-lane highway. There is some road noise, but it dies down significantly in the evenings. We provide white noise machines in the rooms just in case, but we find most folks are not bothered by it.

Do you have water access?

Our property does not have water or trail access. There is a property behind us just before the ocean (those aerial Google views are deceptive), but that is not accessible to guests. We recommend a quick drive to Hadley Point or Hulls Cove for easy ocean access.

Can I work from my room or the Inn?

Yes! We offer free WiFi throughout the property. You can work from your room, the parlor or dining room.

I follow a gluten-free diet, can you accommodate that?

Yes! We can accommodate almost all dietary restrictions, allergies or preferences. Vegan, diabetic, lactose-intolerant, etc-we’ve got you. Please note that for our celiac friends that while we try our best to minimize cross-contamination that we are not a completely GF kitchen.
