What guests have said about their stay

My husband, toddler, and I stayed at Coach Stop while visiting Maine. Amanda and Derrick truly are exceptional in hospitality. The home is beautiful, and the location is perfect for a quick drive down to bar harbor shops or Acadia’s entrance. The food was incredible, and they accommodated my toddler’s allergy. We can’t wait to come back and have already recommended it to friends looking to plan a Maine vacation. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Amanda and Derrick have a lovely Bed and Breakfast, and we had one of our best experiences at their classic 1840s Inn. Our room was great: comfortable bed, roomy, updated bathroom, tasteful decorating. And there were freshly baked cookies when we arrived! Breakfasts were delicious, with good conversation, and much knowledgeable advice about the park, shuttles, local restaurants, and sharing experiences. They really anticipated everything, from umbrellas to tide charts. A lovely couple, we’re so glad to have met them. We hope to return soon!

We spent five nights at the wonderful Coach Stop Inn. Amanda and Derrick were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable, and the location was perfect. We used it as a base to explore Acadia, Bar Harbor and other cute towns in the area. Amanda was super accommodating about dietary needs, which was so appreciated. We can’t recommend this Inn highly enough.

Can't say enough good things about our stay at the Coach Stop Inn! Amanda and Derrick were wonderful and so friendly. We really enjoyed breakfast every morning, and our stay at Coach Stop was clean and comfortable! The location was perfect for us - an easy and quick drive to Acadia for hikes and to Bar Harbor for dinner. 10/10 stay, we will be back!

This is the best B&B out of the few dozen we stayed at. Amanda and Derrick were very friendly, nice, easy going, and helpful. The room was fantastic - large private sitting room, comfortable bed, and cozy common area. The breakfasts were delicious and unique. And the price was reasonable. Stay here if you can!

Everything was exceptional at this quaint bed and breakfast!!! The Innkeeper’s Amanda and Derrick were extremely hospitable. Breakfast was always amazing while accommodating multiple food allergies. The Inn was spotless and it’s minutes away from Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor! Can’t wait to stay there again!!!!

Believe the plethora of 5-star reviews. This place has impeccable attention to detail. For example, they’ve installed hooks right next to the shower for easy towel access. They provide baskets of tiny hand towels, flashlights for late night hikes, and even Tide pens for laundry accidents. They also provide beach towels, umbrellas, tote bags, blankets for Cadillac Mountain sunrise viewing. A huge fridge holds all your leftover lobster rolls. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Acadia room had a reading nook, plus additional space to set up our own desk and two giant monitors (from home) for some digital nomading. Bathrooms are huge, and all the soaps feature a delightful scent I can’t place.

The highlight is the delicious breakfast. Derrick and Amanda go all out, using fresh local blueberries and other ingredients to fashion yummy hot dishes. The coffee from a nearby shop is a delicious way to begin your day. They keep the hot water and Keurig running all day to fulfill all your drink desires.

There is also a bookshelf with great reads (Hemingway, Anne Rice, Doris Lessing) for your late night entertainment.

Finally, Derrick and Amanda are eager to share their favorite trails and insider tips to get the most out of your hiking. They explained the best places to park based on timing and offered additional hikes we hadn’t considered. This Bed and Breakfast excels - I’ve stayed in other Acadia spots, but this is the one to visit.

Don’t look any further- this is the spot for a glorious stay.
